Samuel Ogle struggles with resources, but it is a warm, friendly school and the administration and the teachers try their best. They are receptive to suggestions from parents and work collaboratively to meet the needs of their students. Their model for 6th grade is an effective one, where the children rotate between two sets of teachers for their core subjects, and then move to other instructors for their electives. This allows the students and the teachers to get to know each other much better and support each other in a more collaborative way. The classrooms are also in close proximity to one another, so students who struggle with transitions have an easier time in Ogle. The teachers also stay on top of students and discipline is taken seriously, so the school provides a safer environment than some other middle schools in the county.
