Our attended the CRI program at from K to 5th grade (2019). We and our son had good experienced with teachers, staff and the school leadership. The teachers were educated and had effective classroom management. They treated the students with respect and dignity. During the first 4 years, the school included the CRI students in general school activities (ex. Black History Month) and in select school trips. We were so impressed with Bradbury’s CRI progam, that we were considering keeping our son in 6 grade an extra year. That changed once the new principal came on board. Students were not included in general education events; our son’s teacher was not well-trained and had poor classroom management. Our son was treated differently. We were disrespected by the principal during the IEP meeting. It was made clear that principal had little knowledge of the IEP process, how to conduct an IEP meeting, IDEA, or techniques to promote a successful education program for special needs children.

My son has been a part of the CRI program since 3rd grade. I have had nothing but good experiences with the teachers, staff, and expectations for my son. They have always been helpful and open to collaboration. He has just finished his 6th grade year and the staff and school will be missed.
