I have found that CMiT doesn’t deal with special education very well. They have told parents that they could not accommodate certain aspects of 504 plans because of their resources. Unfortunately, they have told parents that they would have to go to their neighborhood schools to have an IEP or 504plan implemented. Teachers, although generally reasonable, do not pay attention to the 504 plans unless they are reminded.
