With a diploma-bound child who aspires to fit into Blair’s high-achieving academic culture, we have had an excellent experience so far. Special ed staff and teachers have been very responsive and supportive — and willing to challenge our kid academically as well. The school’s two shortcomings — overcrowding/insufficient resources, and one culture for high-achieving (mostly white) kids and another for kids with bigger academic and social needs — is unfortunately not different from other schools in the county.
