If your child has any special needs from autism to dyslexia this is not the school for you. They only have the children for 3 years so they are just trying to get by until your child is out and off to the middle school. They only have one teacher who has any idea how to handle special children and that is in the 3rd grade. They may give you an IEP but the teachers do not help your child. They expect children with special needs to complete the exact same work as the regular children which is not reasonable.

The principle does have a weekly message which is nice but the teachers do not communicate with the parents unless they have to .

I agree that this school is terrible for kids with special needs. Bullying is rampant. They harass parents and treat kids with autism disrespectfully which encourages other kids and parents to bully those with problems. Those with special needs who are accepted into the Center for Enriched Studies at this school are particularly targeted by administrators and teachers. Teachers and administrators at PBES seem to be reacting against a system of scarce resources and not enough support by pushing needy kids who excel out of classes with high expectations. And the administration is aggressively against parents who complain.
